Nationals Final Wrap Up |

Having two teams make it to the finals where the best 16 teams in Nation are is certainly rewarding enough. Although the outcome is not what each of the programs wanted, each player from both Temple and UMBC should be proud of what they did.
Temple going to the dance for the first time got to see what playing in Nationals is all about and I know are better team now for it. Game three and the OT loss to Colorado State has made everyone in the ACHA take notice of the Owls.
UMBC second trip seemed like da ja vue all over again dropping game one, taking game two and coming into game three against Michigan with a chance to advance. Letting a two goal lead slip away the Retreivers gave Big Blue some momentum late and never they gave it back.
Both programs carried themselves on and off the ice well which until teams get to the dance don't realize how important that is. Both teams got to stick around, got in a little sight seeing in San Fran and were at the rink when the final buzzer sounded to watch Grand Valley be crowed this years National Champion. Kudos to Mike Forbes and entire Grand Valley program.
Fans and family thanks for watching at home and making the DII Nationals the most watched Championship.
